    1. My teaching philosophy (César Viteri)
As an educator, my purpose is to provide support to students as they learn and develop their skills in the educational environment. I aspire to be a supportive rather than authoritative teacher in the classroom, fostering a lucrative environment that allows students to achieve their goals.
Recognizing the differences among students is crucial, educators must understand that each student is a unique individual with different personalities and lives.
It is imperative that teachers foster an environment of comfort and safety within the classroom and ensure that no one is marginalized for any reason. Each student holds their future in their own hands and must learn from them, even from their mistakes. Therefore, it is the teachers' responsibility to provide them with the necessary tools so that they can understand and comprehend everything they have in front of them on their way.
In the classroom, I believe it is essential to create an atmosphere that goes beyond getting good grades and passing the course. On the contrary, it should be perceived as a place full of unlimited possibilities where learning to make mistakes is not judged and where every little effort contributes to the student's development.
Educators must recognize that students are not non-active entities who can understand everything, the question is to find the right method to make them understand a particular topic. Teaching is not a soulless act, but a journey of growth where you will have to make mistakes to learn, and where both students and teachers can learn from each other.

  3. My teaching philosophy (Cristian Garzon)
As an educator, my aim is to provide guidance and support to students as they navigate the various challenges in their educational journey. I aspire to be a facilitating presence in the classroom, nurturing an environment that empowers students to achieve their goals.
Recognizing the diversity among students is crucial, and educators must understand that each student is a unique individual with distinct paths and objectives. It is imperative for teachers to foster a sense of security within the classroom, ensuring that no one is marginalized for any reason. Each student has their own journey to traverse and decisions to make, and it is our responsibility as teachers to equip them with the tools necessary for self-discovery and understanding of their path
In the classroom, I believe it is essential to create an atmosphere that goes beyond viewing education as a mere marathon aimed at crossing an invisible line of success. Instead, it should be perceived as a realm of boundless possibilities, where every small effort contributes to the students' chosen direction.
Educators must recognize that students are not just receptacles for information; they are human beings seeking a deeper understanding of the world. Teaching is not a mechanical and detached act of knowledge transmission but a heartwarming journey of communal growth. In this environment, both students and teachers have the opportunity to learn from each other, fostering a reciprocal exchange of knowledge and experiences.

  4. My teaching philosophy is that each student is a world worth knowing and understanding. I think this because sometimes students are seen as objects to be handed out knowledge and very few teachers really care about their students, they know that they have different abilities, and they have different dreams. These teachers do not have a specific methodology but are willing to change.

  5. As an educator, I perceive myself as a magician within the classroom, using the wand of knowledge to craft moments filled with wonder and transformation. Much like a magician meticulously creates illusions, I develop lessons that captivate and inspire. The classroom becomes my stage, and each student, a unique audience member, is poised to be entranced by the enchantment of learning. Employing technology as a wizard employs tools, I seamlessly integrate virtual reality and gamified elements, weaving an enchanting and immersive educational experience. I understand the significance of incorporating specific enchanting qualities to successfully lead students on their captivating educational expedition. Similar to a skilled wizard, adaptability stands out as a crucial trait so I tailor my teaching methods and approaches to accommodate the continually evolving needs of my diverse learners. Patience becomes my wand, allowing me to gracefully navigate through challenges and ensure that each student progresses at their own magical pace. My ultimate goal is to serve as a magician of inspiration, cultivating adaptability and resilience in students, preparing them not only for exams but also for the enchanting challenges that lie ahead. Every lesson is a magical performance, and my role is that of a guide, orchestrating an experience that leaves students marveling at the boundless possibilities of education.

  6. I strongly believe in treating both adults and students with respect to create a positive and supportive atmosphere. Building a good relationship between students and the teacher is crucial for effective learning. It's important for students to understand that when they misbehave, there are consequences, like losing some privileges. I guide them to solve the problems they create without causing issues for others, encouraging them to take responsibility. Showing respect for adults is key, as they are in charge. I also think it's crucial to acknowledge and reward good behavior to reinforce positive conduct. Allowing students to make decisions and face the results, whether good or bad, helps them become more independent and accountable. I prefer using natural consequences instead of punishments whenever I can, so students can see how their actions relate to the real world. My approach aims to create an environment that supports personal growth through responsibility, respect, and self-discipline.

  7. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the fundamental principles of preserving dignity, instilling responsibility, and fostering independent problem-solving skills in both adults and students. I firmly believe that creating a respectful and supportive learning environment is essential for effective teaching and learning. I advocate for a proactive approach to discipline, wherein students are made aware that misbehavior leads to the loss of privileges, thus encouraging a sense of accountability. In guiding students to resolve the problems they create independently, I aim to cultivate a spirit of self-reliance and maturity. Moreover, I prioritize natural consequences over punitive measures, viewing misbehavior as a valuable opportunity for individual growth and preparation for real-world challenges. This philosophy is not just a theoretical framework; it is a lived experience that draws upon evidence from my teaching practices. By integrating these beliefs into my teaching, I aim to create a classroom atmosphere that nurtures personal responsibility, critical thinking, and a positive attitude towards problem-solving, ultimately contributing to a successful and enriching educational experience for both students and educators.

  9. My purpose as a professor is to create an environment where pupils are secure and can demonstrate their creativity, to search for recourses to achieve their education goals, to develop as self-evaluators, and to give good feedback about their work. I am very cognizant of students' needs. My job, I believe is to make the classes I teach, they can be dynamic and productive for the students.
I chose to study pedagogy because I wanted to be a teacher one day and my best option was English, and I have an intense interest in language and languages. For that, in my teaching want my students to love this language. I start from the assumption that each student either has a similar fascination already and that my task is to help her follow it further, or that she has the potential to be as fascinated as I am, and that my job is to help her develop that enthusiasm for the subject matter.
For my little experience as a teacher in my practice classes, I have been looking for a philosophy, but I don´t sure that I found one. However, there are some things that I do to be as effective as possible in the time available. I do my students and I know the classes' goals every day where we have been and what is expected. Also, I try my students to participate every time as it is possible because I believe students are the most important in the class, they must be the protagonists of each class. Every week, I hand out games and we have group activities in which student volunteers present the answers to the rest of the class.
Education is essential for people, in teaching is power, with a potential for great good or harm. Therefore, teachers must be guides for new people generations. Teaching is far more complex than most people realize and makes professional and personal demands on the teacher. But our repays is know that in our hands is training new generations and we can develop everyone for a better future.
To encourage students to make the subject matter their own. In the case of language courses, this involves encouraging them to make use of English every chance they get, both inside and outside the classroom.

My teaching philosophy stands by the thought that the teacher role does not overpass the student role. Even, there is not a role, just people looking for knowledge to improve their skills. Education nowadays is a business and for me that must change. Humans should look for the well-being of all.

  11. My Teaching Philosophy Statement (Johanna Chavarria)
The teaching/learning process is not a one-size-fits-all task and, as such, I am committed to employing diverse teaching methods that accommodate different learning styles. I see students as active participants in their own learning, where knowledge is constructed through meaningful experiences and interactions.
As a teacher, I see myself as a facilitator and guide, creating an atmosphere where curiosity is nurtured, questions are welcomed, and students feel empowered to explore and express their ideas. I am dedicated to fostering a positive and respectful classroom culture that encourages collaboration, empathy, and a sense of community.
Without a doubt, education is a dynamic field, and adaptability is crucial, for that reason I am committed to continuously refining my teaching methods, incorporating feedback, and adapting to the evolving needs of my students. By embracing change and innovation, I strive to provide a relevant and meaningful education that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

  12. My teaching Philosophy - Marjorie Caiza
My teaching philosophy is to be the teacher that my students need not what I want to be, because there is not possible to be perfect during classes, also to give to students enough knowledge to develop their abilities by their own to solve problems by their own using their high order thinking skills and not just to memorize words or structures in a mechanic manner.
During classes students must be an active participant of learning to create meaningful learning, the role of teacher is to keep their attention during all the class and students would learn something about it.

  13. My conception of how learning occurs is rooted in the idea that it is not a linear process, but rather a dynamic and personal experience for each student. I believe that learning is an active and unique construction that happens through exploration, reflection, and practical application of knowledge.
My pedagogical approach focuses on fostering an interactive and participatory learning environment. I prefer methods that promote experimentation, dialogue, and collaboration among students. I believe in the importance of customizing learning, adapting my teaching to meet the individual needs of the students.
The reason why I teach in this manner is because I strongly believe in each student's potential to learn meaningfully when provided with the opportunity to actively engage in their education. My goal is to cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and autonomy in the students.

  14. In my teaching philosophy, I see misbehavior as a valuable learning opportunity, not a personal attack. I strive to create an environment where challenges transform into learning moments, engaging students in reflective dialogue to collaboratively devise solutions. Over time, I've shifted from viewing misbehavior as a disruption to understanding it as a window into students' struggles. Proactive strategies like open communication, recognizing diverse backgrounds, and adapting teaching methods for various learning styles are integral to my approach. I enhance teaching through innovative technologies, connecting research with real-world benefits for students, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. I value students' diverse perspectives, seeing each day as a chance for growth, both for them and myself. Teaching, to me, is a dynamic and evolving process, a commitment evident in my continuous pursuit of improvement.

  16. "As an educator, my primary aim is to actively support students in their learning and development within the educational setting. Rather than taking an authoritarian approach, I strive to be a facilitator in the classroom, fostering a dynamic atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their goals.

I think it's the teacher's responsibility to equip students with the necessary tools to understand and absorb knowledge, empowering them to take charge of their own learning. This involves cultivating an environment where learning from mistakes is natural, and where every effort contributes to a student's holistic development beyond just grades.

In my classroom, I strive to create an environment that isn't solely focused on achieving high marks but is seen as a space of limitless opportunities where experimentation and errors are embraced. It's a place where learning is built through collaboration and ongoing exchange between students and teachers.

Identifying and valuing the diversity among students, I acknowledge that each person is unique in their personality and experiences. It's essential to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual needs, creating an inclusive and safe environment where everyone feels welcome.

I understand that teaching isn't a static process but rather a journey of continual growth where we're all constantly learning. The challenge lies in finding methods that effectively help each student grasp topics. In essence, teaching is a journey where learning from mistakes is fundamental, and empathy and collaboration are vital for educational success. Luis Nacevilla
